Stage 03 of 5Direct the performance

Tell the actor how you want the line.

Meet the cast

Every character keeps their voice. You direct the performance.

Marvox matches each character to a voice and holds it from the first chapter to the last. Hear the duel’s two leads, then give Athos a note.

Athos

The musketeer, waiting on his seconds

“I have engaged two of my friends as seconds; but these two friends are not yet come, at which I am astonished, as it is not at all their custom.”

D’Artagnan

The newcomer, one day in Paris

“for having only arrived yesterday in Paris, I as yet know no one but Monsieur de Tréville, to whom I was recommended by my father, who has the honor to be, in some degree, one of his friends.”

Direct the scene · Athos, one line, three notes

“You know no one but Monsieur de Tréville?”

Note: colder, suspicious, measuring him

Real retakes from Marvox’s Director, rendered October 4, 2026. Same character, voice, and words; only the note changed. You hear every take before you keep it.

Straight answers.

Can I hear my own book before I pay?
Yes. The free Book Check produces an early chapter of your own manuscript in full cast (up to 6,000 words), alongside the production audit, the cast preview, and an estimate of what the finished audio will cost.
What does the free Book Check include?
One book: a manuscript check, a preview of your cast and chapters, an early chapter in full cast (up to 6,000 words), and a production estimate. Producing the whole book needs that book's Production Pass.
What does a Production Pass include?
$79, one time, for one book. It covers the whole book up to 12 finished hours, 25% more for corrections, Director re-takes, casting and pronunciation tools, quality checks, and the MP3/M4B publishing package. It's not a subscription.
What if my book runs longer than 12 hours?
Extra finished minutes are $0.10 each, and you see the price before anything is charged.
What happens when I revise my manuscript?
Revise the source and review the affected scenes and lines before producing a new audio version. The Director keeps your line notes and saved takes visible as you work.
Does Marvox publish to Spotify for me?
No. Marvox gives you the finished package and a step-by-step checklist for Spotify for Authors. You upload it from your own account and keep your rights.
